What is the 20/20.20 Eye Health Habit?

It simply means that for every 20 minutes of media device use (i.e. computers, smartphones, ipads etc.), you should take a 20 second break by looking 20 ft. away for 20 seconds. This helps to relieve eye stress by reverting to the normal blink rate (for eye lubrication) of every 4 to 5 seconds. When staring at a computer, the blink rate reduces to only 4 to 5 blinks per minute.  The full device concentration leads to less blinks per minute and greater evaporation of the eye lubricants.  Prolonged hours of computer use amplifies the problem.
