Pantelligent is a 12-inch non-stick cast aluminum frying pan. It weighs about 2.5 pounds. It works with most iPhones, iPads, and Android phones and tablets. It’s not compatible with induction stovetops but works with most gas and electric stovetops. It does use AAA batteries, which should last 12-18 months and can easily be replaced in the pan’s handle. The pan’s surface should last about 3 to 5 years. Cleaning is easy with just soap and a sponge.
The app monitors the temperature so you know when to flip, when to stir or add ingredients, when to adjust the heat on your stove, and when your dish is perfectly cooked. If your heat is too high or low, it tells you to turn it down or up. There’s no need for a cooking thermometer because it measures the precise temperature of the cooking surface, where the food touches the pan. The temperature sensor is inside the pan, and the electronics talks to an app. While you are cooking, it gives you tips from on-screen and spoken notifications. This pan is like having a top chef at your side right in your own kitchen.
