Hmmmm, that smells wonderful! I can almost taste it!

It’s those tempting aromas that create an atmosphere of warmth and welcome. bringing back those special memories of family and friends. How about some fresh baked bread, roast turkey, cinnamon rolls, hot baked apple pie, or chocolate chip cookies! Do you want some now? Today, we are going to share some ideas and recipes for delicious, Fresh from the Oven goodies.

What does “fresh from the oven” mean to you?

While fresh from the oven means very new, different, or innovative, to most of us, it means something warm, moist, chewy, crunchy, and spirit rewarding. We welcome the simple pleasure of fresh from the oven goodies. We can almost taste that crispy crunch crust and the nutty warmth of angel-softness of those oven surprises. We quickly learn that if we want to make food better, a trip to the oven will bring it to a whole new level.

Why is “fresh from the oven” bread so tempting?

The best time to enjoy bread is when it’s fresh out of the oven. Simply rip a piece off, slather it with creamy butter, and drizzle with sweet honey or cinnamon sugar sprinkles. Hearing the words, Hmmm, that smells so delicious! You can almost see yourself munching and crunching.

About the Recipe: It’s a spongy, slightly sweet bread to use for a wrap sandwich. The crust is golden brown and crunchy crisp, while its slices are angel soft. Food and Wine magazine suggested to slather it with cranberry sauce, dip it in gravy, and use any leftovers for French toast. The bread will amaze you as it appears in its “pre-sliced” style. We thought we would never eat 72 slices of bread but guess what – we did.

National Festival of Breads Contest

Since the National Festival of Bread’s contest inception in 2009, and every two years thereafter, America’s premier amateur bread-baking contest has been held. It encourages and inspires bakers to show their special breads and rolls, expand their baking know-how, and even learn about where their flour comes from and how it’s produced.

Hundreds of people from across the country submit recipes to the contest. After extensive testing in their kitchen, baking techniques are approved, and nutrition evaluated, the recipes are judged, and finalists are selected.
